Women's Basketball Drops Matchup to St. Mary-of-the-Woods

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's basketball team suffered a tough loss, falling short 81-65 to St. Mary-of-the-Woods Friday night.  Laura Hobbie led the team with 19 points followed by Katelyn Wise with 10.

Emmalee Fladland was Greenville's leader in assists with nine and posted a team high five steals.  Emily Gundy was Greenville's top rebounder with an impressive 10 with six of those on the offensive side.

Greenville trailed 45-28 at the half but came out in the second half and improved their defensive effort and shooting to outscore their opponent but still came up on the short end.

The women fell to a 2-7 record on the year and will pick themselves back up to play against Robert Morris - Springfield on Saturday.
