Women's Basketball Heartbroken by Fontbonne in Overtime Battle

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's basketball team lost in overtime to Fontbonne University 64-62 on Thursday night. Katelyn Wise led the way for the Lady Panthers with the team high in scoring with 18 points, and Ieisha Adams netted 15 points in the loss.

Adams also finished the night by leading the team with nine rebounds and five assists.

Greenville led early in the game 18-1 and by the score of 28-16 at the half. Fontbonne University fought their way back, shooting 52 percent from the court in the second half to send it into overtime where they pulled out a two-point victory.

The Lady Panthers' record dropped to 4-9 (1-4 SLIAC). They host Webster next Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 6 p.m.
