Women's Basketball Narrowly Miss Upset with 74-70 Loss to Westminster

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's basketball team lost a hard fought game on Saturday afternoon 74-70 to Westminster, who are undefeated in conference play.  Greenville was down 11 points at halftime and fought back to take the lead late in the game, but Westminster was just too much down the stretch.  Greenville was led in scoring and rebounding by Ieisha Adams with 19 points and eight boards.

Two other Lady Panthers were in double-digit scoring as well. Laura Hobbie had 10 points and Stacey Lawrence put in 11 for the Lady Panthers.

Emmalee Fladland was Greenville's leader in assists with five and was second on the team in rebounds with seven.

The Lady Panthers (10-8, 4-6 SLIAC) will attempt to win their fifth conference game on Tuesday at Principia in a 6 p.m. tipoff.
