Women's Basketball Stops Eureka 68-57

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's basketball team improved their record to 7-3 (2-1 SLIAC) with a 68-57 victory over Eureka Thursday night.  Laura Hobbie and Emmalee Fladland were Greenville's top scorers with 16 points apiece.

Greenville held a decisive 54-39 edge in rebounding, led by Heather Bush with 12 boards.

Fladland posted three assists and five steals.  Ieisha Adams and Stacey Lawrence also contributed three assists.

The Lady Panthers held a 31-25 lead at halftime and outscored Eureka (3-7, 1-3) by five in the second stanza.

Greenville returns to action Saturday with a 1 p.m. game at home against Principia.
