Women’s Soccer Blasts Eureka 10-0, Extends Streak to Nine

GREENVILLE, Ill. The women handled Eureka College 10-0 at Francis Field on Homecoming Saturday, as the Panthers cruised to their ninth-straight victory and the top spot in the SLIAC.
Greenville College freshman forward Kayla Panzau led the women in the 10-0 win, striking four shots for two goals and dishing out three assists.
Sophomore Maureen Murphy also helped pace the Black & Orange in the match, tallying five shots for two goals while posting an assist.
Senior GK Emily Rose claimed the shutout win in net for GC and showcased a save on the only shot attempted by the Red Devils.
The women controlled from the outset and held a 6-0 lead heading into intermission. Greenville netted four more goals in second period play to claim the 10-0 shutout win.
As a team GC outshot Eureka 35-1 and held a 12-1 margin on corner kicks attempted.
With Saturdays convincing victory the women advance to 12-4 (5-0 SLIAC) and will return to the pitch on Tuesday, October 18 as they travel to Webster University for a 5:00 pm SLIAC duel.
