GREENVILLE, Ill. Despite a closely contested scoreless first half, the GC women failed to answer a late rally from the Lady Bluejays and fell 2-0 at Francis Field on Saturday.
Opening the first of their three-game homestand with a loss, Greenville was bested by Elmhurst who scored in the 58th and 75th minute to clinch the victory. The Panthers were outshot 16-2 and registered only one shot on goal.
Greenville sophomore keeper Heidi Kohl was charged the loss, posting six saves and allowing two goals.
Womens soccer will return to action Tuesday, September 20 as they look to get back on track against Culver-Stockton at 4:00 pm at Francis Field.
