Women's Soccer Shuts Out Eureka 4-0

EUREKA, Ill. -- The women's soccer team won their 12th match of the year with a 4-0 shutout of Eureka Wednesday afternoon. A win in their game on Saturday against Blackburn will allow Greenville to solidfy the No. 2 seed in the SLIAC tournament which is scheduled to begin Wednesday, Nov. 3.

Greenville clearly dominated possession against Eureka, totaling 35 shotswhile limiting Eureka to six.

Leeza Jedrzejcyk was the offensive star of the match for Greenville as she posted two of Greenville's three goals in the second halfand assisted Mindy Siebert'sgoal in the first half.

Jennifer Williams added a final goal for Greenville late in the game.

Heidi Koehl and Jenny Suszek split the game for Greenville as goalkeepers with Koehl collecting three saves and Suszek posting one save.

The Lady Panthers (12-5-2, 5-2 SLIAC) host Blackburn on Saturday at noon in their final regular season game. If Greenville defeats Blackburn, they will host Fontbonne on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 3 p.m. in a semifinal of the SLIAC tournament. A win in that match would pit Greenville against the winner of Principia and Webster in a match on Saturday, Nov. 6.
