Women's Tennis 9-0 Sweep Over Blackburn

ELSAH, Ill.-- The GC Lady Panther tennis team had an impressive victory over the Blackburn College Beavers, beating them 9-0 on Principia's courts.

Greenville played well in both singles and doubles, clinching wins in every match played.

In singles play, Jamie Harling defeated her #1 opponent 6-0, 6-1. Kristen Lynch, in the #2 spot, came away with the 6-0, 6-1 win as well. Lexy Baysinger clinched the 6-0, 6-1 win, Kristin Minshall beat her opponent  6-1, 6-0, Chelsie Evans came away with the 6-1, 6-1 victory, Kat Kennedy won 6-0, 6-0, and Abby Maurer also gained the 6-0, 6-0 victory.

In doubles, the #1 duo of Harling and Minshall won with an impressive score of 8-2. Lynch and Baysinger also won with a 8-1 score in the #2 spot. Lastly, Evans and Kennedy finished the sweep with a perfect 8-0 win.

This win brings the record to 3-4 (1-0 SLIAC). The women play again on Monday, March 25 at 4:00pm, this time at home against Rend Lake.
