Women’s Tennis Edges Blackburn 5-4

GREENVILLE, Ill. – The Lady Panthers battled Blackburn College along with cold and rainy conditions on Monday as they slid past the Lady Beavers to pick up the conference win 5-4. Senior Jaime Harling set the pace for the ladies, going the distance with a #1 singles win 6-1, 7-6, (7-4).

GC split the singles matches 3-3 with Blackburn, but earned the decision by claiming two of the three doubles matches in the contest.

With the win women’s tennis moves to 3-5 on season.

Lady Panther tennis will resume action tomorrow against Principia at 4:30 pm. All matches will be played on the campus of Principia College in Elsah, Ill.
