World Outreach & Missions - Urban Plunge

Urban Plunge invites students to participate in community service activities that address human and community needs. It is a weekend event which occurs in the St. Louis area and happens at least once each semester.  This trip is designed to introduce students to the needs and climate of the inner-city through service and interaction with community members.

Upcoming Urban Plunge Events

November 9-10, 2012

Join us on our trip to St. Louis to visit an organization called Oasis International. We will serve the community by delivering furniture to local refugees. You will be able to spend time sharing with them and hearing their inspirational stories. The weekend will also be educational, as we learn about the challenges refugees face every day. Be a part of this meaningful experience as we serve the St. Louis community.

April 19-20, 2013

We will be taking another trip to St. Louis to serve the homeless community with Sun Ministries. We will be educated about poverty and then do service projects that will take us out of our comfort zones and help the homeless in the inner city. If you are interested in signing up, please contact rebecca.mccoll@greenville.edu. This is a FREE event. All are welcome!
