Areas of Responsibility:

Develops and establishes a crime prevention plan and manages Campus parking.  Completes thorough investigations of any assigned incident which occurs on Campus.  Manages and updates "Clery" to meet federal guidelines.  Liaison to local, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies

Publications and Presentations

Director Lennix retired from the Illinois State Police as the District Commander in Collinsville.  He served over twenty-seven years while supervising the Operations and Administrative Commanders of his five county district. Lennix was responsible for approximately two hundred personnel in addition to ensuring the safety of the citizenry of his District.

Director Lennix was the on-scene Incident Commander for multiple critical incidents within the Illinois State Police:

* Sniper on the Martin Luther King Jr. bridge.
* The Belleville police sergeant that was shot in
  the face while serving a search warrant.
* The Maryville Pastor who was fatally wounded in
* Barricaded subjects with weapons in East Saint
  Louis, Washington Park, Hamel, Smithton and 
  Scott Air Force Base.
* East Saint Louis, Collinsville and Belleville High
  School bomb threats.
* Manhunts in East Saint Louis, Belleville and 
* The Interstate 64, speeding trooper who killed 
  the Uhl sisters.
* The Westborough Baptist Church protestors.
