Why Visit GU?

See what life will be like for you at GU. You can learn a lot about our school virtually, but time after time, our students say they chose GU because they felt they belonged here on their visit.

Personal Visit

Online or On-Campus

With a personal visit, you can completely customize your visit! All personal visits include a tour of campus and a meeting with your admissions counselor. You can also include the following options:

+ Things You'll Do...
  • Meet with a professor.
  • Sit in on a class.
  • Meet with a coach or club director.
  • Eat lunch on campus.
  • Tour additional facilities like our sports annex, Kindergarten Readiness Program building, art building, or the SMART Center.
  • Attend chapel if you visit on a Monday or Wednesday morning.

Personal visits are available Monday-Friday but are not available during Preview Days. Visits take approximately two to four hours, depending on your goals. You should dress for the weather and wear shoes you can walk in.

What is a Preview Day?

Experience campus with other students exploring their college options, just like you! Preview Days have a set schedule of events.

  • Campus Tour
  • Meal in the dining commons
  • SMART Center tour
  • Meet with faculty
  • Admissions and financial aid meeting
  • Dorm tour
  • Q&A panels for students and parents
  • Get to know your Preview Day group and current GU students with ice breaker games
  • Optional meeting with coach or club director

Preview Days are scheduled throughout the semester. You can view the calendar here. Preview Days take approximately five to six hours. You should dress for the weather and wear shoes you can walk in.

Group Visit

What is a group visit?

If you are a part of a high school group, club, or organization, this is a great way to view campus together! Group visits include a tour of campus and an admissions presentation. Additional tour options depend on availability but include:

  • Science lab presentations
  • Chapel
  • Meal in the dining commons
  • Athletics presentation
  • Sports complex tour

Group visits are available Monday-Friday but are not available during Preview Days. Visits take approximately two to four hours, depending on your goals. You should dress for the weather and wear shoes you can walk in. Group tours are for groups of five or more and grades seven and up.
