A Festschrift for Frank H. Thompson

The Festschrift to Honor Frank H. Thompson
A Celebration

Book CoverFestschrift draws from its German roots to combine celebration (“fest”) with writing (“schrift”). The Festschrift, a centuries-old tradition in academia, joins voices from across disciplines, generations and experiences in a collection of writings to honor an esteemed scholar. Frank Thompson taught in the Philosophy and Religion Department at Greenville College for 28 years and chaired the department for all but three of them. Read more about Frank Thompson.

Gary L. Hunter, editor of My Name is Frank and That’s Who I Am, studied under Frank Thompson at Greenville College. He went on to earn his master’s of divinity degree from McCormick Theological Seminary and serve as field archaeologist for the Harvard Semitic Museum in Ashkelon, Israel.
