MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The women's cross country team finished 11th of 16 teams in the Rhodes Invitational on Saturday. Rosie Nelson and Molly Works were separated by 15 seconds as they posted 53 and 58 points, respectively.
Nelson completed the course in 21:34, and Works ran close behind with a time of 21:49. Greenville continues to miss their No. 3 and 4 runners due to injury.
"The girls that had not been hurt ran pretty well for where they are," said head coach Brian Patton. "The girls that just came back from injury were slower than they would have liked."
The women resume their season on Saturday, Oct. 13, at Illinois College.
