ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The men's basketball team headed west to Webster to take on the SLIAC-leading Gorloks in the final regular season road game of the year. Webster controlled from tipoff and never looked back, downing Greenville 68-50. Leading the Panthers in the losing effort was senior forward Obinna Agomo. Agomo chipped in a game high 16 points and snagged five boards in the loss.
Hitting six of eight three-pointers in the first half, Webster raced to a 41-20 halftime lead and coasted to victory.
Despite the loss, the Panthers (12-11, 8-7 SLIAC) have locked up a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament berth next weekend. They will first aim to defend H.J. Long Gymnasium on Monday, Feb. 21, against Spalding in the final regular season tilt of the year.
