ST. LOUIS, Mo.-- Greenville's own Ryan Smith has been named SLIAC Baseball Hitter of the Week for the week of March 25-31.
Smith, a sophomore from Affton, Mo., batted .615 in the three games he played in last week. He had a total of nine RBI, eight hits, two homeruns, and a double for the week. Smith's slugging percentage was 1.154. Smith's first game of the week was Greenville's 11-6 victory over Blackburn in which he want 3-for-5, hitting two RBI and a double for the Panthers. Greenville took on Blackburn again the next day, this time winning 6-4 with Smith going 2-for-4, recording five RBI and hitting two homeruns. In the last game of the week, the Panthers fell 1-2 against Blackburn, but not without Smith going 3-for-4 and being credited with two RBI.
