The Greenville College men's cross country team took second place at the SLIAC championship meet, but it did not keep them from leaving their mark on the all-conference team. Following the event, five Panther runners were honored with all-conference awards. Of those honored, senior Rodney Oyler of Macon, Ill., was Greenville's top performer with a second place mark.
Pacing the Panther squad were the second and third place honors of Oyler and junior Cole Prins of Erie, Ill., respectively. Oyler posted a time of 21:08 in earning first team honors for the third straight season, and Prins finished the race three seconds later to tally his second consecutive first team honor.
Second team awards went to sophomores Xavier Ortiz (9th place, 21:36) and Leo Pathy (12th, 22:02) both of Palos Hills, Ill., and Coree Woltering (14th, 22:09) of Ottawa, Ill.
The second team honors were the second straight for Pathy and Woltering.
