Early Preparation for Graduation
To participate in Commencement, you must complete several tasks and meet certain deadlines.
Apply for Graduation: The application is just a way to let the Records Office know that you think you have completed all of your degree and major requirements and are eligible to graduate. Please login to my.Greenville and go to My Records to complete the graduation application.
December and January graduates MUST submit their applications by the first day of the fall semester.
May and August graduates MUST submit their applications by the first day of the spring semester. There will be no exceptions, so please do not delay.
The application will take less than five minutes to complete. Once we receive your application, you will be notified if you have been approved to graduate or if you still have outstanding coursework. The sooner you apply, the sooner we will be able to help you correct deficiencies if they exist.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Records Office at 618-664-7025.
Pick up your cap and gown in the GU Mailroom:
All traditional students residing on campus must pick up their own caps and gowns. The mailroom staff will notify you when your cap and gown are ready for pick up. The mailroom is open until 4 p.m. before the Baccalaureate ceremony to accommodate December graduates picking up their caps and gowns for spring ceremonies. For graduates who cannot pick up gowns at these times, please email the commencement staff and make special arrangements to pick up your cap and gown: [email protected]
Watch your student email for more information: Graduation information will be sent to your GU student email accounts.
