Baseball's Dillon Reel obtains SLIAC pitcher of the week award

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Dillon Reel, a senior from Mattoon, Ill., picked the SLIAC/Diamond Sports Baseball Pitcher of the Week honors after keying his team to a 2-0 conference victory over MacMurray.

Reel went eight innings in the contest, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out six. Reel carried a no-hitter until there were two outs in the sixth inning.

Reel is currently 1-2 on the season with eight strikeouts through 16 innings pitched.

The Panthers (3-9) resume their season on Monday with a doubleheader against Bowdoin in Auburndale, Fla.
