Baseball shutout by Webster

SAUGET, Ill. The baseball team was shutout 8-0 in game one and was trailing 6-2 in the fourth inning of game two in games against Webster on Wednesday. The second game will be concluded at a date to be determined.

Webster opened the first game with single runs in the first and second innings before putting four on the scoreboard in the fourth and two in the sixth.

Greenville's Max Gabriel went 1-for-2, andMike Hardin, Jesse Getz, and Jared Storment were 1-for-3.

Nick Bifano started on the mound for Greenville and was tagged with the loss as he pitched four innings and allowed six runs, five earned, on nine hits in his second start of the season.

The Panthers (7-13, 5-4 SLIAC) host Principia on Friday at 6 p.m.
