Bruce Gray Advances to NCAA Finals

LINCOLN, Neb. -- The men's track and field team had two men participate throughout three events at the annual NCAA Division III indoor championships on Friday. Bruce Gray advanced to Saturday's finals in the 200-meter dash with a meet record performance. He will also compete in the finals of the 60-meter dash.

Gray ran in the 60-meter dash in the first heat of the preliminaries. He finished in 6.77 seconds to place second in his heat. His mark was a school record and was the second best time of the preliminaries.

Gray later won the third heat of the preliminaries in the 200-meter dash, holding onto the top position in Division III.

In addition, Josh Kuusisto participated in the weight throw competition. His best throw was 16.41 meters (53 ft, 10.25 in).

Gray will compete again on Saturday in the finals of his events at 3:15 p.m. and 4:05 p.m. Saturday's events will be broadcast live at http://www.ncaa.com/liveschedule.
