Fall RECORD Highlights Holistic Education at G.U.

Is it possible to deliver learning experiences that build character, expand perspective and inspire? The Fall issue of The RECORD, just out, showcases learning experiences that do just that.

Read about students from Wyvetter Young Alternative Center in East St. Louis who—under the leadership of Jordan Hohm ’12—dug deep into scholarship and creativity to prepare for a coveted live theater experience watching Hamilton at the Fox.

Learn about the surprising trait that gives G.U. student researchers an edge when it comes to promoting ongoing water testing, and learn about the new instrument that allows them to test samples “in house.”

Summer intern with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources Cheyanne Hulvey ’20 hit the jackpot of learning experiences when she worked alongside more than a dozen scientists. The opportunity gave her a front row seat to persons who pursue work they love with conviction and joy.

This issue also contains information about Homecoming 2018 and the recipients of this year’s Alumni Association Awards.
