Football dominates second half in win

NEW ULM, Minn. -- The football trip to Minnesota will end with a happy drive back to Greenville as the Panthers were 47-24 winners over Martin Luther on Saturday.
The contest was very much a back-and-forth battle over the first half. The teams traded touchdowns in the first quarter, and Martin Luther took a halftime lead of 21-13.
Greenville's first quarter touchdowns came from Jacob Battaglia on a two yard run and Chase Stamatis on a nine yard pass from Battaglia.
The Panthers exploded for 34 second half points while shutting out the Knights.
Rashaun Weber caught two touchdown passes from Battaglia. Chase Stamatis also had a touchdown reception from Battaglia.
Hamid Camara and Jonny Pruiett posted rushing touchdowns.
Battaglia ended the game passing 13-of-20 with 279 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception.
Camara ran 18 times for 103 yards.
The defense was paced by Robert Deering with 17 tackles and a fumble recovery.
Nicholas Morrow came up with an interception.
The Panthers (3-5, 3-4 UMAC) host Northwestern on Saturday at Noon.
