#GivingTuesdayGU: Abi Hillrich ’18, English

Published: April 13, 2021

Abis sharp mind and clever pen enrich Greenville University. Years of contribution to the VISTA student magazine, and a thesis project chronicling her undergrad faith journey, help capture the G.U. student experience for future generations.

But Abis Christ-centered liberal arts education will enrich future generations in a much larger way; she plans to become a professor herself.

In five years, I see myself pursuing my doctorate abroad. In ten, ideally Ill be teaching at the college level and publishing my writing, she says, casting a vision. The wisdom, skills and faith development she honed at G.U. may benefit future students and future readers for decades to come.

Your generous support makes Abis contribution to the world possible.

I would not have been able to attend Greenville University without the student scholarships, she says. This would have kept me from getting my degree in creative writing, and it would have prevented the incredible faith journey Ive been through while attending Greenville University.

Abi is the grateful recipient of donor-funded scholarships including the G.U. Campus Visit Award, the Legacy Award and the McAllaster Honors Scholarship.

Together, you and G.U. students shape tomorrows world. Thank you for giving to student scholarships on #GivingTuesdayGU.
