Greenville College Hosts Kevin Mannoia on Campus

Kevin Mannoia, professor of ministry and chaplain at Asuza Pacific University, will visit Greenville College to speak in chapel on Wednesday and Friday, March 29 and 31, and lead a colloquium at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 30. These events are free and open to the public.

Mannoia has served as president of the National Association of Evangelicals and as bishop of the Free Methodist Church USA, overseeing conferences in the western U.S. and Asia. He is the founder and chair of the Wesleyan Holiness Consortium, which includes denominations and institutions sharing a heritage in the Wesleyan and Holiness traditions. Mannoia has also authored several books including Masterful Living: New Vocabulary for the Holy Life (Metaformation, Inc., and WHC Publications, 2011), Fifteen Characteristics of Effective Pastors: How to Strengthen Your Inner Core and Ministry Impact (Regal Books, 2007), Church 2K Leading Forward (Precedent Press, 2006) and more.

Mannoia will deliver a chapel address titled Hanging Out With Jesus Wednesday, March 29 at 9:30 a.m. in Whitlock Music Center. At 7 p.m. he will address students and local alumni again in Whitlock. A colloquium on Exploring Our Stream of Gods River System begins at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 30 and the visit concludes with the chapel talk Godly, Competent Leaders at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 31. Between events, Mannoia will visit with students in various classes and meet with local pastors and leaders.

Involvement with churches and educational institutions around the world has given Mannoia an international view of the church and a passion for Christian higher education. In addition to his role with APU and various board positions with Roberts Wesleyan College, Northeastern Seminary, and Seattle Pacific University, he has held faculty positions at Holy Light Theological Seminary in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, the Asian Theological Association and the Asian Graduate School of Theology in Bangalore, India.
