Greenville College Pursues SLIAC All-Sports Award

Published: April 13, 2021

ST LOUIS, Mo. - Beginning in 2010-11, the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Sports trophy is given to the institution accumulating the most points, determined by final standings in the 12 SLIAC championship sports. Through the winter season, Greenville leads all member schools with 50.5 overall points.

To this point in the athletic year, Greenville boasts three SLIAC championships (mens cross country, mens soccer, and volleyball) and has qualified for all five of the year's men and womens conference tournaments. Greenville won the men's soccer and volleyball conference tournaments, placed first in the men's cross country conference meet, finished second at the women's soccer conference tournament, and ranked third at the women's cross country conference meet. In addition, the Panthers qualified for the men's and women's basketball tournaments.

Not included in the SLIAC as of 2009, but worth mentioning, the Greenville College football team captured its second straight UMAC title, going 7-3 overall and adding to the fall and winter season success.

The remaining spring sports that will count toward the overall institution point total include softball, baseball, mens tennis, and womens tennis. In addition, Greenville track and field is favored to win its second consecutive SLIAC invitational.
