Lady Panther Soccer Dominates Iowa Wesleyan

MT. PLEASANT, Iowa--The Greenville women's soccer team traveled to Iowa Wesleyan and brought home an impressive 6-0 SLIAC victory.

The Panthers opened scoring in the 15th minute when Kency Lopez passed the ball to Haley Thatcher, who beat the Tiger goalkeeper to bring GC up 1-0. Kelsey Panzau scored the second Panther goal just a few minutes later. Kami Suess the last goal of the first half and Greenville headed into halftime with a 3-0 lead.

Thatcher and Panzau each recorded another goal in the second half, this time with assists from Sara Palombo and Mo Murphy. Palombo found the back of the net herself late in the half to bring the game to it's final score of 6-0, GC.

With the win, the team's record improves to 3-9 (2-1 SLIAC). The Lady Panthers' next match will take place on Tuesday, October 15 in Greenville when they take on MacMurray at 7:00pm.
