Lady Panther Tennis Dominates Eureka 8-1

EUREKA, Ill.-- The GC Women's Tennis team outplayed the Red Devils of Eureka College, beating them in 8 of the 9 total matches played.
In singles play, Kristin Lynch fell 6-2, 6-1 in the #1 match. Lexi Baysinger defeated her opponent 6-3, 6-2 in the #2 match. Chelsie Evans took the #3 spot match with an impressive score of 6-0, 6-1. Kat Kennedy also won, with a 6-1, 6-2 score in the #3 spot. Emily Rauch outplayed her opponent as well, sweeping the match 6-0, 6-0. Jenna Reints also swept her #6 match 6-0, 6-0.
Doubles play went just as well for GC, with the Lady Panthers taking all three matches. Lynch and Baysinger captured the close win 8-6 in the #1 match. Kennedy and Evans won 8-3. Finally, Abby Maurer and Kristin Minshall gained the 8-0 victory.
With this win in the books, the team's record is now 4-5 (2-1 SLIAC). The team plays again on Monday, April 1 in a home match against Lewis and Clark.
