Lady Panther Volleyball With Win Over Westminster

EUREKA, Ill.--The Greenville College volleyball team continued their SLIAC undefeated streak with a 3-1 victory over Westminster.

The Panthers captured the first set 25-20, took the second set 28-26, lost the third set 28-26, and won the fourth set 25-15.

Corrine Coon had a team high of 20 total points in the match. She recorded 18 kills, one service ace, two block assists, and 14 digs for the Lady Panthers.

Nicole Schaeffer earned 14 points for the Panthers. She had 12 kills, 21 digs, two block assists, and an ace throughout the four sets she played.

Savannah Sells added another 10.5 points for Greenville on eight kills and five block assists. Ellen Lueking had a season-high 49 assists and recorded two aces in the match.

With a record of 11-3 (5-0 SLIAC), the team will take on Fontbonne on Tuesday, Sept. 24, in hopes of keeping their streak alive. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m. in St. Louis.
