Lady Panthers Push Past Westminster, 2-0

GREENVILLE, Ill.-- The Greenville Women's Soccer team scores one goal per half to beat fellow SLIAC team, Westminster 2-0.

Natalie Henneberry and Kelsey Panzau score the goals forthe Panthers to get the 2-0 Conference win. Henneberry put the ball in the back of the net in the 40th minute of the game when Kayla Panzau passed her the ball right in front of the goal to give GC the 1-0 lead heading into halftime.Kelsey Panzau'sgoal came just one minute into the second half when she shot a rocket over the Blue Jay keeper to bring the game to it's final score of 2-0 with Greenville on top.

Greenville outshot Westminster 9-4 in the game and Panther goalkeeper, Heidi Koehl, earned the shutout with 3 saves.

This brings the team's record to 7-7-1 (3-2 SLIAC). The ladies play again Tuesday, Oct. 23 when they travel to Jacksonville, Ill. take on MacMurray College.
