Lynch, Evans, and Greenville Women’s Tennis Team Awarded by SLIAC

Published: April 13, 2021

St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has announced the 2012 All-Conference Women's Tennis Team and awards and Greenville's own Kristen Lynch and Chelsie Evans were among those recognized.

Lynch, a freshman from Centralia, Ill., was an honorable mention for No. 4 singles. She proved to be a driving force for her team this season and GC is excited for her return to the court next year. Lynch and fellow freshman Chelsie Evans, from Greenville High School, were the SLIAC Honorable Mentions for No. 3 doubles as well. The duo performed well together and their hard work and determination make them great assets to the Panthers team.

The Greenville College Women's Tennis team received the SLIAC Sportsmanship Award for the second time. The last time the team won this honor was in 2006. This award is given to the SLIAC team whose players, coaches, and fans best exhibit good sportsmanship throughout the season. This is a prestigious honor that everyone involved should be proud of winning.

The SLIAC also chooses one player from each team who shows principles of good sportsmanship all season and those individuals make up the All-Sportsmanship Team. Chelsie Evans was selected by her teammates and Coach Pam Craig as the Greenville College member of the All-Sportsmanship team.
