Men's basketball clipped by Westminster in SLIAC semis

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The SLIAC regular season co-champion men's basketball team fell to Westminster in their semifinal SLIAC tournament contest 101-83 on Thursday night. Daniel Saeli led all scorers with a game-high 19 points.
Greenville led midway through the first half, but Westminster came back to take a 36-34 lead into halftime. Westminster outscored Greenville by a 65-49 margin in the second half.
Kenny Greene posted 11 points for the Panthers, and Michael Hohm and Tim Daniel added 10 points.
Andrew Scott was leading rebounder with eight.
The Greenville unit forced 24 Westminster turnovers.
The Panthers completed their season with an overall record of 13-13 and were crowned SLIAC regular season champions for the first time since 1996.
