Men's basketball falls short at Spalding

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The men's basketball team was defeated 108-85 on Saturday at Spalding despite featuring the game's leading scorer in Tim Daniel who provided 24 points to Greenville's total.
Greenville trailed 61-49 at halftime and cut the deficit to seven in the second half before Spalding put the game out of reach.
Greenville made just 29-of-87 field goal attempts as they were outshot by a Spalding team who converted 41-of-71 shots.
The Panthers forced Spalding into 27 turnovers and collected 15 steals, but Greenville was hurt by 25 turnovers of its own.
Michael Hohm was Greenville's only other player who posted double digits in scoring as he had 13 points and a game-high and personal season-high seven steals.
The Panthers (2-9, 1-3 SLIAC) travel to MacMurray for a game on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
