Men's Basketball narrowly misses upset of McKendree

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's basketball team journeyed to Lebanon, Ill., on Wednesday and were nipped 79-75 by McKendree. Ron Harris paced Greenville with 19 points and two blocked shots.
Greenville gave the Bearcats all they could handle and then some as the NCAA Division II school expected to roll over Greenville.
The Panthers had other ideas as they trailed by one at halftime and had an opportunity in the waning minutes of the game to tie or take the lead.
Greenville was aided by 50.8 percent shooting, making 31-of-61 shots. They hit 5-of-11 three pointers, and 8-of-12 free throws.
Brian Ehresman produced a solid line with 16 points and seven assists.
Andrew Scott totaled 12 points and eight rebounds.
The Panthers (5-4) host Principia on Saturday at 5 p.m.
