Men's Basketball Nipped by Conference Leader Spalding

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The men's basketball team saw their three-game conference winning streak snapped with a 79-76 loss to first place Spalding on Tuesday night. Senior Alex Mumphard was Greenville's leading scorer, posting 17 points which included an 11-of-12 mark at the free throw line.

Despite trailing throughout the game, the Panthers fought back, holding a possession a at the conclusion of the game that could have tied the game.

Mumphard was the game's leader defensively with three steals. Junior Ron Harris tallied 16 points and seven rebounds, while freshman Nick Trisko came off the bench to post 13 points and 10 rebounds.

The Panthers (7-5, 3-2 SLIAC) travel to Eureka for a game Thursday night at 8 p.m.
