Men's basketball suffers loss at Wabash

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - The men's basketball team was defeated 119-94 on Wednesday at Wabash despite the Panther defense pressuring Wabash into 31 turnovers.

The Panthers outscored the Little Giants 50-47 in the second half, but it was not enough to overcome a 72-44 halftime deficit.

Wabash won the game by shooting over 65 percent from the field as they made 53-of-80 field goal attempts. The Panthers made just under 35 percent of their shots, shooting 33-of-97.

Michael Hohm led Greenville in scoring with 15 points with five field goals, including one three-pointer, and a perfect mark of 4-for-4 from the free throw line.

Kenny Greene came off the bench to add 11 points.

Andrew Scott paced Greenville in rebounding with seven boards.

Daniel Saeli and Tim Daniel had four assists, and Daniel produced four steals.

The Panthers (1-8) will attempt to move into the Christmas layoff with a win as they face Blackburn at home on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the final game of the first semester.
