Men's Basketball wins third straight

DECATUR, Ill. -- The men's basketball team held a 17-point lead at halftime and parlayed it into a 75-69 win at Millikin on Monday night. Facing Millikin without the benefit of a full practice after Saturday's win, the Panthers were led by Ron Harris with 21 points and eight rebounds.

Greenville pushed the lead to an eventual 19 points early in the second half, but Millikin gave the Panthers all they could handle in the second half.

Greenville won the game by shooting nearly 60 percent, making 32-of-54 shots. The Big Blue were limited to a shooting percentage under 40 percent.

Andrew Scott added a 15 point, six rebound, three blocked shot outing.

Elmo Smith came off the bench to produce 12 points and eight rebounds.

Michael Hohm had seven assists, and Brian Ehresman added six assists.

The Panthers (5-3) travel to McKendree on Wednesday.
