Men's soccer falls to NCAA tournament participant Gustavus Adolphus

GREENVILLE, Ill. The mens soccer team came up short Saturday night as they lost 4-0 to Gustavus Adolphus, a side that has made four consecutive appearances in the NCAA Division III national tournament.
The Panthers fell behind early, giving up a goal in the second minute of the match. Gustavus Adolphus added another goal in the 23rd minute to take a 2-0 lead to the half.
The Gustavus Adolphus team added goals in the second half in the 70th and 88th minute.
Greenville offered a few scoring opportunities in the match, posting seven shots and two on goal. Parker Wray led Greenville with two shots.
Goalkeeper Ian Hodge came up with three saves.
The Panthers (1-5) will attempt to get back on track Wednesday as they travel to Illinois College for a match at 7 p.m.
