Men's soccer schedule announced

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's soccer program has announced its 2015 schedule. The schedule includes 10 regular season home games at Francis Field, and nine regular season away games.

The Panthers will open the season on September 1 at Washington University in St. Louis before the home opener on September 3 against Robert Morris Springfield.

The highlights of the non-conference schedule are the home match on September 5 against Spring Arbor and a trip to last years national runners up, Wheaton on September 29.

The Panthers open conference play on September 26 at Iowa Wesleyan, with the first conference home match against Spalding on October 8.

The Homecoming match will be on October 17 against Eureka.

The Panthers conclude their regular season with two tough road games at reigning SLIAC tournament champions Westminster on October 27 and reigning SLIAC regular season champions Webster on October 31.

We have a really exciting schedule this year, remarked Swift. We are going to test ourselves right out of the gate going to Wash U. We have a lot of really good home contests too, and we are really looking forward to renewing the historic rivalry we have with Spring Arbor. We also welcome some other schools that arent typically on our schedule like Gustavus Adolphus, Coe, Rhodes, and Hendrix.

When it comes to conference, we need to hit the ground running and build some early momentum so that we are in a position where we are challenging for the conference championship that last week.

The four team SLIAC tournament will take place on November 4 and 6 at the highest seeds.
