SALINA, Kan. -- The men's tennis team looked to continue their winning ways this weekend, as they made a trip to Central Kansas. Greenville returned home with two wins, topping Central Christian 7-2 and defeating Kansas Wesleyan 8-1.

First up on Friday was a match in McPherson against a long time sister school of GC, Central Christian. On a beautiful sun splashed afternoon, the Panthers continued their strong doubles play with a sweep of all three doubles matches.

Alex Dowley and Jon Urshan earned their eighth straight victory at #1 doubles. Justin McDonald and Ryan Haas made quick work of their opponents at #2 with an 8-0 victory. Demetrius Bush and Code Power also earned a quick victory at #3 doubles.

In singles play, the Panthers were able to earn four victories on the day. Singles winners included Alex Dowley, Ryan Haas, Demetrius Bush, and Code Power.

On Saturday the Panthers traveled 25 miles north to Salina to take on another NAIA opponent Kansas Wesleyan. Once again the Panthers came out strong in doubles, winning all three matches. They carried the momentum into their singles play, and earned another strong team victory.

The Panthers season record now stands at 8-4 (1-0 SLIAC). Their next contest is on Wednesday, April 2, at 6 p.m. when they travel to conference rival Webster.
