Men's track and field finishes second at Greenville Select

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's track and field team combined to total 131 points in their second place performance at the Greenville Select meet. Andrew Sharp and Nathan Potts provided Greenville with event titles.

Sharp gave Greenville 10 points in the 1500 meter run as he produced a time of 3:59 to win by two seconds.

Potts was the champion in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:56.58 to eke out a win by less than half a second.

A number of Panthers were second in their event.

Treyvon Manning cleared a height of 1.98 meters (6-6) in the high jump and later posted a time of 56.05 seconds in the 400 meter hurdles in a pair of second place showings.

Jarrid Williams recorded a mark of 6.72 meters (22-0.75) in the long jump as he was second among its competitors.

Two relays posted second place marks. The 4x100 meter relay clocked a 42.98 second time, and the 4x400 relay gave the Panthers a 3:22.23 final.

The Panthers travel to Rose-Hulman for a meet on Friday.
