Men's track and field ranks second at Illinois College

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. -- The men's track and field team was second at the Illinois College True Blue Twilight on Friday night.
Jarrid Williams was a double winner as he took the top spot in both the long jump and triple jump. His winning distances were 6.82 meters (22-4.5) in the long jump and 13.81 meters (45-3.75) in the triple jump.
Andrew Sharp placed first in the 1500 meter run, taking the win with a 3:57.95 time.
The 4x400 relay nipped Illinois College by less than half a second with a time of 3:22.27.
Treyvon Manning was second in the high jump with a clearing of 2 meters (6-6.75).
Nathan Allyn finished the 800 in 1:57.88 as he also earned second place.
The Panthers collected 121.5 points in the field of 15 teams.
The men return to action on Saturday, May 7, as Greenville hosts the AMC/SLIAC championships.
