Men's track and field wins two events at Washington University

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The men's track and field team used first place marks by Bruce Gray in the 100 and the 4x100 relay team as they earned 36 points and placed 10th at Washington University.

Gray posted a time of 10.71 seconds as he won the first heat and saw his mark hold up for the title.

Gray was also a member of the 4x100 meter relay team which placed first with a time of 42.29 seconds.

Taking third place and adding six points to the team total was Seth Martin in the javelin. Martin reached a mark of 48.69 meters (159-6.75) on his final attempt.

Jonah Peoples completed the 200 meter dash in 22.35 seconds to take fifth place as he was second in his heat.

Jarrid Williams totaled four points for Greenville in the triple jump with his distance of 12.71 meters (41-8.5). Williams got the mark in his second attempt.

Robert Goin was the final point producer for Greenville as his time of 9:57.51 got seventh place and one point.

The Panthers return to action on Saturday in Greenville as they host the Greenville Select meet.
