GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's basketball team saw their winning streak come to a close as they were defeated 87-86 by conference leader Webster Wednesday night. Travis Garrison and Jonas McBride led a six-man contingent of Panthers with 10 or more points, scoring 13 points each in the effort.

The game was tied at halftime 45-45, and Greenville held the ball with a one-point lead in the final 30 seconds of the game. However, Webster came up with a defensive stop, regaining possession, and allowing Roman Robinson to hit the game winning bucketona reverse layup with six seconds to go. McBride took a shot as time expired, but it wouldn't fall.

Markeith Brown and Dondrale Campbell added 12 points, Simon Martin chipped in 11 points and eight rebounds, and Jose Garcia tallied 10 points. McBride passed out eight assists.

The Panthers (8-6, 3-3 SLIAC) return to action at Spalding on Saturday at 3 p.m.
