Men's Basketball Tops MacMurray by One, 89-88

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's basketball team was victorious 89-88 over MacMurray in a thrilling SLIAC conference battle. The Panthers were led by five players with 12 or more points, led by Obinna Agomo with 17, followed by Markeith Brown with 16, and K.J. Hilliard with 15. Rashod Seaton and Jonas McBride both pitched in for a vital 12 a piece.

Greenville was up 45-37 at halftime, but MacMurray turned it on in the second half only to have the Panthers buckle down to squeak out the win. Hilliard lead the team with eight rebounds but more importantly hit three clutch free throws to put the game out of reach for MacMurray.

The men's basketball team improved to 9-5 but more importantly 5-2 in SLIAC conference play. The Panthers will try and continue the momentum hosting Webster University on Saturday at 3 p.m.
