Men’s Tennis: Wolf Claims Pair of SLIAC Titles

ST. LOUIS, Mo. Panther Tennis headed to Creve Coeur Racquet Club on Friday to start the two-day St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Men's Tennis Individual Tournament. Greenvilles Ian Wolf claimed the SLIAC championship in #2 singles and then joined teammate Joe Newlin to win the #1 doubles title.

All Flight champions were awarded First Team All-SLIAC honors, while Second Team andHonorable Mention All-SLIAC were also awarded based on respective finishes.

Wolf, a junior from Greenville, Ill., was the lone Panther named to the All-SLIAC First Team, making his mark in #2 Singles.Newlin and Wolf were both named All-SLIAC First Team #1 Doubles after their convincing victory.

Newlin and Ryan Haas rounded out the weekends notables, both being named to the All-SLIAC Second Team in #1 and #4 singles respectively.

Mens tennis will next take the court Thursday, April 21, as they travel to Terre Haute, Ind. to battle Rose Hulman at 5:00 pm.
