New RECORD examines hands-on learning powered by donor generosity

Creating order out of chaos, managing crises against the clock, choosing words that diffuse anger—student interns have no shortage of tales to tell about the challenges they faced as budding professionals in the workplace.

Like others who engage in practicums for their majors and GU’s semester-long Experience First program, interns know the importance of applying their knowledge and skills particularly in today’s environment where entry-level positions often require multiple years of experience.

The Winter 2021 issue of The RECORD draws readers into the student’s world of hands-on learning in churches, with police departments, in corporate offices, industry, and more.

This issue also salutes the University’s faithful Financial Champions whose generosity fuels scholarships that make all of these experiences possible.
