Panther Soccer Loses at Lindenwood-Belleville

BELLEVILLE, Ill.--The men's soccer team fell 2-1 to Lindenwood-Belleville on the road. Greenville's lone goal was scored by Aaron Mulholland.

Lindenwood got on the scoreboard in the 32nd minute whenCesar Acosta scored an unassisted goal to bring the Lynx up 1-0. Acosta's goal proved to be the only goal of the first half.

Greenville started the second half determined to redeem themselves. In the 59th minute, GC senior, Aaron Mulholland scored the equalizing goal. Mark Ward passed the ball to Jacob Krisher, who slotted it to Mulholland for the goal. The Panther goal brought the score to 1-1.

In the 79th minute, Lindenwood'sJesus Ahumada scored the game-winning goal to bring the Lynx up 2-1.

GC goalkeeper, Ian McReynolds, was credited with 11 saves in the match.

The Panthers' current record is 2-6-3. They will travel to Webster University on Saturday, October 5 for a huge SLIAC match-up against the Gorlocks.
