Published: April 13, 2021

Greenville College is pleased to announce that Rebekah Lyons will visit campus on Thursday, Mar. 20 and Friday, Mar. 21. A celebrated author and speaker, Lyons is best known for her work on topics including: womanhood, faith, mental health, leadership and calling.

Rebekah Lyons to Visit Campus March 20-21Lyons' first book, Freefall to Fly: A Breathtaking Journey Toward a Life of Meaning, published in 2013, (Tyndale) is a chronicle of her own struggles and triumphs along a path to discover purpose and overcome the difficulties that she faces as a woman, wife, mother and Christian. Through vulnerable and honest reflections about her story, Lyons invites readers to surrender their burdens and fall into the grace and love of God; to find their identity in Christ instead of the expectations assigned to women in Western society. She explores similar themes in her blog, rebekahlyons.com. She is also the co-founder of Q, an organization that produces online resources and events to help church and cultural leaders effectively practice their faith and reflect the Gospel in their every day lives. Her story has been featured on CNN.com, American Family Radio, Her.meneutics, Chicago Tribune, MOPS.org and The Christian Broadcasting Network.

There will be a question and answer session with Lyons on Mar. 20 at 8 p.m. in Jos Java. On Mar. 21 she will speak during the GCSA chapel at 9:30 a.m.in Whitlock Music Center. Her visit is being sponsored by the Greenville College Student Association (GCSA).

These events are open to the public. For more information, please contact Emily Callon at emily.callon@panthers.greenville.edu.
