Volleyball Falls to Lincoln Christian

GREENVILLE, Ill.-- The GC Lady Panthers fell 3-1 in an intense 4-set battle with Lincoln Christian tonight.

Greenville lost the first two sets of the match, but came back in the third set 25-21. Unfortunately, GC could not hold on and lost the fourth and final set of the match. The women kept all the sets close, with scores of 25-22, 28-26, and 27-25 respectively in the sets they lost.

Defensively, Jamie Schollenbruch lead the Panthers with 14 digs. Ansley DeVrieze also added 12 digs for GC. Ellen Lueking recorded 32 assists in the match. On offense, Nicole Schaffer lead the team with 12 kills, followed by Ansley DeVreize with 11 total kills in the match.

This tough match brings the Panthers record to 7-6 (3-0 SLIAC). The ladies play again on Saturday as they take on Confrence team, Spalding, in Louisville, KY.
